This song came to me in the desert of New Mexico over solstice, while it rained rained rained and my heart was grieving for my mother's life and passing. It is a prayer for / from the divine mother to the children of the earth in our healing journey.
lyrics
like a river, to the ocean
let the tears roll, down your cheeks
your grief is, pure devotion
hear the angels sing, when you weep
don't you hold back, even one drop
though you want to, keep it all inside
your water, is the nectar
for the garden, of life
oh mama we hear your laughter
oh mama we taste your tears
oh mama we feel your sweet sweet song
oh mama we’re coming home
when you're walking, through the valley
through the darkness, when the river runs dry
the earth is calling, clouds are forming
spirit is longing, to feel you cry
let it fill up, overflowing with raindrops
the fish are dreaming, to swim in your rain
the sun is waiting , to create a rainbow
from the release, of your pain
oh mama we hear your laughter
oh mama we taste your tears
oh mama we feel your sweet sweet song
oh mama we’re coming home
the ocean refuses no river
like the heart, refuses no pain
the ocean refuses no river
like a river, to the ocean
let the tears roll, down your cheeks
your grief is, pure devotion
oh mama we hear your laughter
oh mama we taste your tears
oh mama we feel your sweet sweet song
oh mama we’re coming home

The sound of Bachan Kaur’s voice can make you forget what you’re doing and remember who you
are.
Mysticism infuses her sound with kaleidoscopic luminescence.
Sparse dreamy electronica, organic earthy acoustics, soul stirring poetics, and the occasional boom and clack.
Mother earth and the human heart are the bread and butter of this artist’s intention and you can taste it in every song....more
